Jap Drama: 1 litre of tears...1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida

Just 2 days before the wild boar year.........i managed to spare a whole day watching the 11 episodes of japanese drama .............

i was not backed in Kuching for CNY celebration...........initially planned to do my writing up for thesis draft, however..........i was not in the mood for the draft, end up watching the drama serie..........i started with 2 episodes...then only to find out that ai longed to watch the next one, and totally not in the mood to start on my draft.........haha, couldn't resist the temptations.............plus it had been a pretty long long time since i actually have the chance to sit down properly and watch a whole lot of drama.

1 Litre of Tears (1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida) is a drama about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old. Erika Sawajiri played this girl in this drama.

The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Aya Kiko(木藤亜也, July 19, 1962 may 23-, 1988) who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family and friends. Her diary 1 Litre of Tears was published shortly before her death. It encouraged many people, healthy or diseased, because of its inspiring and courageous messages. As Aya wrote, "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing."

The book "One Litre of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.

Aya Kito proved her courage and positive attitude towards an uncertain future when suffering such an illness, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Another attraction of tis drama is d actress is beautiful too, look like kyoko fukada.............and i was touched by the story too.......learn about the Spinocerebellar Degeneration disease..........and many moral values...............ppl must realize how lucky of them to have a normal body with normal hands, legs........body system........and learn to appreciate them, cherish the ppl around them...........every single little thing and blessings..............compared to Aya which developed the disease at age 15, all the wonderful days and moments.......were gone as the disease developed..................but she still lived strongly..........despite of the pain and the look from other ppl which she got to endure.............we are very lucky, ..............we must be happy and thankful that they live a healthy normal life.................

Highly recommeded to watch,....if u like touching dramas.........haha, do prepare urself a box of tissue^^
